借景——论当代艺术家三水的影像观念

   回望中国现当代艺术近三十年来所发生的几次跳跃式的快速发展,今天,便可以得出这樣的結論:“苦大仇深”式的艺术作品已经被彻底淘汰,而转折后的新一代的艺术家们已经逐渐开始寻找并以一种“线索性”的隐晦表达来描写个人以及社会的心理状况。当然按此推进,有理由说这次展览的作品不仅顺应了中国当代艺术的发展趋向,而且更是艺术家对于社会剖析的一次充分体现。
   出生于70年代的三水毫无疑问是位敏感智慧的当代影像艺术家,他具备了一般同龄人所没有的艺术洞察力。相比于其他同龄影像艺术家的“社会叙事”,三水更加注重个人化的“私密性表达”。实际上,“私密性表达欲望”更多的出现在当下的艺术作品当中,也就是说三水淡化了属于60后和70后艺术家的“共性表达”化心理,选择了“个体诉求”化心理方式。从另一个角度来说,三水的影像作品代表了一种时间的跨度,隐隐约约的“形象”与“踪迹”很大程度的记录了时代的转变与前进。
   两个月前,当我看到艺术家的新作品时,颇为欣喜。三水以前的作品雖然表明的是當代场景或异化景观,但骨子里却更多的透露出了中国古代的文人情怀,而这些近作虽然仍采用“借景”这一古典文化视角,却透露着一种新的图片方式的社會性与悲凉而孤寂的时代性!
   “借景”是中国园林艺术的传统手法,但是艺术家三水却不再仅仅局限在原有的观念构成,而是将这一古典艺术手法完全的融入到当下世界的语境当中。另一方面,新的高科技化的摄影艺术进入到当代艺术阶段后,更多的采用了后期制作的“再创造”形式,三水敏感的利用了这一方法,纯粹的表达了图像世界下对于中国传统文化意念笼罩下的个人体验的“再演绎”!
   时下我们已经进入了又一个高速发展的数字化新世纪,每一个优秀的当代艺术家必须也必然都应该有一个果断而明确的艺术态度!可以说作为上海当代艺术界的新兴力量之一,三水近些年一直描绘着属于上海的景象。从著名的《外滩》系列到新作《黄浦江》系列,艺术家本人用自己对于上海这座城市的深刻理解,塑造出了对于整个社会的思考。
   当然,从上海美术历史的发展来看,近几年已经很少再出现关于上海物景本身的“当代表达了”,如此、三水的新作即延续了他自己的艺术线路,同时又很好的弥补了上海当代美术现象的空缺。所以,从《外滩》系列再到新作《黄浦江》系列必然会进一步让三水的艺术被更多人所认同并感知!

Analysis the concept about visual art of Sanshui(acontemporary artist from shanghai)

If we review that what happened in Chinese contemporaryart in the past nearly 30 years, we could come to the conclusion that thedirect way to express tragedy has been completely eliminated. Firstly, younggeneration artists have gradually begun to use breezy way to describe thepsychological status about individuality and society. Furthermore, it can be believedthat the art work in this exhibition not only represent the trend of thedevelopment in Chinese contemporary art, but also fully embodies societydissection from new contemporary phenomenon.
Sanshui was born in 1970s and he is a sensitivevisual artist. Wisdom and marvelous insight about art make him so different inthe art world of China. Comparing with the way of social expressing from theother visual artists in China, Sanshui has paid more attention to personaldescriptions. In fact, expression of private desire is usually appearing in thepresent art world, which means sanshui had abandoned the psychology of commonexpression belonged to the 1960s and 1970s artists, then turn to choose the youngestway to express his ideas . On the other hand, these digital art works representthe time from past to now and his art work record the development and change inthe society of China.
I was very surprised when I saw his newworks two months ago. The previous works of him convey the concept of traditionalChinese culture. But, his new art works reveal some kind of considerationsabout social communities in the contemporary world and the special identityfrom China now, although he still adopts traditional perspective way which iscalled view borrowing .
View borrowing is a way to create traditionalChinese art which is called garden art, but this artist is no longer limited bythe original concept. Sanshui inherited the classic spirit and mixed it withmodern art, and create a new art language. On the other hand, new high-techphotography art entered the stage of contemporary art. Recreating the pictureswhich means post-production has been adopted. Sanshui use this method keenlyand reconstruct the way of expression about personal experience which underChina’s traditional culture concept.
Now, we have entered an digital era ,everyoutstanding contemporary artist should have a decisive and definite attitude,as one of the emerging powerful contemporary artist ,Sanshui has been belong toShanghai .From the famous series of “the bund” to a new Huangpuriver” series, Sanshui has described about Shanghai with his deepunderstanding.
All in all, from the perspective of thedevelopment in Shanghai’s fine art history, we couldn’t find enough artists whostill express their thoughts about Shanghai in the recent few years. Hence, Sanshui’snew art works continue to keep his concerning about Shanghai. At the same time,it is also a good action to enrich contemporary art in Shanghai. From the”Bund” series to “Huangpu river” series, more and morepeople will know the charming attitude of Sanshui’s visual art.
